Insurance First Party Property Coverage/Litigation Attorney The candidate will work closely with Partner on pre-litigation and litigation matters involving insurance claim disputes. Must have legal writing proficiency, preferably with experience drafting pleadings and motions and responding to discovery. Must be willing to travel for occasional court and client obligations (less than 40 percent of time). Deposition and EUO experience is a bonus, as well as experience arguing motions. Great opportunity for development of litigation skills. Will be responsible for managing all aspects of coverage advice and/or litigation without assistance: matter analysis and strategy, depositions, EUOs, mediations, insurance appraisals, motions and trials. Must be willing to travel for court and client obligations (less than 25 percent of time). Must have demonstrated Florida litigation experience and a solid understanding of property and liability insurance coverage law and strategies in Florida, and must have top-notch client reporting and relationship skills. Should have experience handling complex commercial first party property disputes and disputes involving surplus lines carriers. Must be a talented legal writer. Candidate must be actively admitted to all state and federal courts in Florida. Should have varying levels of experience; Florida civil litigation experience strongly preferred. First party property expertise is essential; third party liability litigation skills are a bonus. Must have strong legal writing skills.
