Associate Attorney The candidate will do case handling, including analyzing, assessing, and executing litigation strategies through all states of litigation. Proactive client communications, including providing claim analysis to our client. Represent clients at litigation proceedings, including at hearings, depositions. Manage external relationships, including working with third-party administrators, adjusters, insurers and employers. Research and draft case settlements, pleadings, motions and other litigation documents. Investigate workers compensation claims, including researching and evaluating claims and providing recommendations. Should have a J.D. from an accredited law school and current good standing with the Iowa State Bar Association. Knowledge of or interest in workers compensation case law or administrative law is needed. Should demonstrable experience researching, analyzing and handling cases, including deposing witnesses, drafting and reviewing discovery. Should be detail-oriented with excellent writing, communication, relationship management and case analysis abilities.
