Entry Level Litigation Paralegal The candidate will develop and apply basic knowledge and procedures to complete assigned projects and tasks; develop proficiency in technology relevant to the position. Follow established procedures and clearly-defined instructions to complete assignments; develop skills in identifying resources to increase efficiency and ensure highest quality work product. Develop and apply organizational skills to prepare work product and ensure efficient workflow within and among teams and departments. Identify issues and consult with others to resolve problems. Identify resources to increase efficiency in preparing work product. Comply with administrative requirements to meet billable expectations; prepare and release time notes on a daily basis; prepare and submit timecards on a weekly basis. Assist in all phases of a matter from case inception through trial or resolution. Assist with document collections, document reviews, and document productions. Coordinate management of case documents, including organization, review and production of documents. Consult with firm's eDiscovery Resource Management team to manage document databases and coordinate electronic discovery proceedings. Assist with the preparation of court filings, including cite and fact checking legal briefs, confirming proper Bluebook citation, proofreading, and assembling of exhibits and appendices. Assist with depositions, including preparation of witness files, exhibits, notices and subpoenas, and deposition summaries. Conduct factual or legal research; examine public records; monitor legislative and administrative proceedings as assigned; locate witnesses; trace documents and other physical evidence. Assist with trial preparation and logistics, including preparation of witness files, management of exhibits, setting up trial space, and attending trial, as required. Bachelor's degree from a competitive school with a GPA of 3.50 or higher required. Ability to commit 2 or more years before law school or other endeavors required.
