Legal Secretary The candidate will document management and organization, including saving to the network, filing, indexing and drafting correspondence, calendaring, scheduling. Will be processing business and vendor expenses. Will create check requests. Will professional client interaction. Will additional administrative tasks as needed. The candidate must have 3+ years Legal Secretary experience. Must have prior experience with litigation procedures and processes. Must have familiarity with typical pleadings filed in litigation and experience with drafting same. Should have experience in Nursing Home, Employment, Healthcare and Insurance Defense litigation helpful. Should have familiarity with procedures, processes and rules related to State and Federal courts as well as the appellate process and rules. Must have ability to work in a team-based setting supporting a group of attorneys and paralegals. Should have excellent organizational skills with the ability to integrate into a fast-paced environment. Should have excellent typing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office 2007 (Word, Outlook, Excel). Must have ability to coordinate meetings, travel, expense reimbursements and enter billable time. Should have strong written and verbal communication skills.
