Senior Manager, Attorney Recruiting & Development Candidate will be responsible all aspects of attorney recruiting and development for the New York office. Will lead the attorney recruitment and development function and execute partner recruiting support for the New York office. Working in collaboration with Firm wide and local Hiring Partners, oversees partner and associate recruiting, law student recruiting, and summer associate program planning. Provides oversight for associate mentoring programs and associate reviews in the New York office. Directs the implementation of attorney recruitment initiatives in conjunction with the Firm s Attorney Recruiting and Development team. Leading execution of lateral, entry level, and law student recruiting in the New York office; Providing support for national hiring initiatives and a variety of communication initiatives, including development and production of recruiting materials, conducting market research and maintaining competitive data; Assisting with law school relations programs and diversity initiatives, including the development of strategic marketing initiatives to attract top legal talent; Managing a robust orientation, onboarding, and integration process for lateral associates; Liaising with the Chief Development Officer and Director of Partner Hiring on partner recruitment and integration efforts, including supporting and successfully executing processes that support the on boarding and integration of new later al partners; Reporting on attorney recruiting and development efforts to the New York office partners; Maintaining relationships with preferred search firms to promote the Firm and lateral opportunities; Developing and maintaining positive relationships with law school career services personnel to facilitate and support the Firm s entry level recruiting efforts; Working with associates and Firm management on issues related to associate lifecycle; Providing leadership and support to the local office Hiring Committee; Ensuring that the best practices established for the recruiting function are appropriately provided to those involved in recruiting initiatives; Preparing and maintaining an annual recruiting and development budget; Supervising department st aff in New York; Attending various Firm and department meetings and professional conferences as appropriate and approved by the Director of Attorney Recruiting and Development; Working collaboratively as a team member within the Firm wide Attorney Recruiting and Development department. In addition to the Attorney Recruiting and Development Department, this individual will work closely with the New York Office Managing Partner and local practice group heads, the Hiring Partners and Committee, the Regional Director of Administration East (US), the Director of Partner Hiring and Alumni Relations, and the Directors of Practice Operations for the Corporate and Litigation Departments. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor s Degree Required. 5+ years of law firm supervisory recruiting experience required. A thorough knowledge of NALP and industry wide legal recruiting best practices and standards. Must have strong leadership skills and proven ability to collaborate and communicate with high level Firm management on a daily basis. Must be highly responsive with a strong sense of time management and the ability to meet aggressive deadlines efficiently and effectively. The ability to navigate roadblocks and deal with the unexpected to find creative ways to get things done is critical. Must demonstrate exceptional judgment, professionalism, leadership, organization, and team management skills. Should also have the ability to positively represent and promote the Firm and have excellent facilitation, research and problem solving, and critical thinking skills. Should also have proficiency with ViDesktop, MS Word, and MS Excel.
