Chemical Patent Attorney The candidate will consult with clients to ascertain technical details about inventions; interview clients to ascertain technical details of the invention to be patented; analyze information on patent applications to ensure compliance with the requirements of the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office; conduct examiner interview; recommend specific solutions for the preparation of the claim amendments; provide legal opinions regarding infringement and validity of patents. Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemistry or chemical engineering is required. Law degree from an ABA accredited law school and admission to at least one State Bar (for attorney) is required. Strong academic credentials is required. Should have 1+ years of substantial recent experience in prosecuting patent applications. Industrial experience is a plus. Should be registered to practice before the USPTO.
