Legal Secretary The candidate will join firm that primarily handles Social Security disability claims. Duties include opening files, sending out offers to represent, requesting medical records, assisting clients in completing questionnaires and forms, communicating with state disability determination service, appealing decisions, scheduling and preparing cases for hearing and pre-hearing, drafting correspondence and motions, filing, scanning, e-mailing, sorting mail, and corresponding with clients. Previous experience in Social Security disability law is preferred, but will strongly consider other candidates who have legal secretarial or paralegal experience. Must have Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Should have experience with Social Security Disability Claims. Must have experience in Case Management. Knowledge of Social Security Disability Law and Perfect Practice software a plus.
