Intellectual Property Paralegal The candidate will do prosecution of US and foreign patents, trademarks, & copyrights. Will do preparation & filing of US patent prosecution documents. Review of all docketing before reporting to client, recording necessary dates in docket. Maintaining multiple dockets. Preparation & filing of PCT applications. Review of all incoming documents from the RO, IB, & ISA; preparation and filing of responses as necessary. Preparation & filing of foreign direct national & national stage patent applications; preparation & filing of foreign trademark applications. Correspondence with foreign counsel at all stages of prosecution. Review & recitation of foreign IP laws & requirements to clients. Performing trademark searches. Preparation & filing of applications; review & preparation of responses to Office Actions & Notices of Suspension; preparation & filing of Statements of Use, Extension Requests, Declarations of Use, Renewals, etc. Preparation of docket portfolio reports & discussions with clients regarding upcoming deadlines & requirements in the US and worldwide. Advising on urgent matters. Running conflict checks, maintaining client files, opening and closing files. The candidate should have 3+ years of IP experience. Paralegal certificate or Bachelor's degree preferred. Must have strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Must have proficient computer skills, including, but not limited to, Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, Foundation IP, Timeslips, and many IP resources on the Internet (PAIR, EFS, TSDR, TESS, TEAS); ability to learn new software programs as needed. Must have excellent research and writing skills.
