Litigation Legal Secretary Responsibilities: Transcribing, drafting, updating, and finalizing correspondence, pleadings and other documents and, at the direction of the supervising attorney, be responsible for designated decision making at every step. Preparing trial notebooks, witness books, subpoenas, orders, exhibits, and other materials. Qualifications: 3+ years of litigation experience, including ECF in multiple states, federal, and bankruptcy courts. Must be accustomed to working as a team member and possess the ability to handle multiple project/deadline assignments under tight deadlines or high pressure. Must be highly proficient in grammar, proof reading, English composition, spelling, and editing skills, in addition to exceptional communications skills and the ability to preserve excellent work relations with other individuals. Strong work planning and organizational skills, coupled with the ability to ask pertinent questions and work independently; as well as demonstrate ability to meet obligations with confidentiality, integrity, and sensitivity are also required. Individual must be comfortable with slow periods, fast pace demands, routine tasks, as well as challenging demands. Must have knowledge of court and law office litigation rules and procedures, and experience with core MS Office Suite applications required.
