Associate Attorney - Sports Litigation The candidate' must have at least 1 year experience as an attorney handling litigation. Must be computer literate and willing to learn the firm s paperless case management system. Will enter the sports law field and litigate cases for MLB, NFL and MLS teams. Position requires someone who is a self-starter, who is curious and desires to learn how and why. Must be a problem solver, have an optimistic attitude and a competitive spirit - our clients want to win. Must have a desire to build and create. We are looking for someone who wants to build a career and create client connections. We will invest time and resources to train the individual but we are looking for someone who will invest in themself and take the initiative to learn. You must enjoy writing and be a good writer. You must be able to develop arguments and be a quick thinker. Our cases generally involve a good deal of civil procedure and jurisdiction but they may also involve defending disability claims filed by former athletes. You must be willing to learn and have some interest in medical issues to excel in this job. This is a position where you will immediately handle depositions, develop case strategies and try a case for clients who are demanding and like to win. This is not a position for someone who just wants to work 9-5 it will require extra effort to excel. You will be trained to manage your own cases and will be responsible for the results obtained and our clients are used to keeping score.
