Paralegal- Trust and Estate/Elder Law The candidate responsibilities include: Assisting in the preparation and review of estate planning and elder law documents including Medicaid applications, POAs, healthcare proxies and living wills, and drafting certain attorney correspondence. Assisting with the review of client financial documents and preparation of probate and administration documents. Client management in the form of telephone conversations, face-to-face meetings, and database maintenance. General office tasks such as managing calendars, fielding calls, and maintaining client files such as tracking of client/case status. Occasional trips to court, client residence, and/or financial institutions will be required. The candidate must have a certificate or degree in paralegal studies from an accredited degree program. Should have excellent communication and writing skills. Must have experience or ability to interpret financial documents, and Have a strong interest in estate planning and elder law. Must be competent with Microsoft Word and Excel, and be technologically-savvy. Experience in trust and estate and elder law is preferred but not required; willing to train.
