Legal Secretary - Business Litigation The candidate will be assisting attorneys with the preparation of case documents, including, pleading binders, document chronologies, discovery materials, and pre-trial and trial items. Preparing pleadings and other legal documents, including the creation of captions and tables of content and authorities. Knowledge of and comfort with discovery procedures and e-discovery platforms. Proofreading and analyzing letters, memos and pleadings before they are finalized. Calendaring meetings, Civil Procedure triggering events and other deadlines, depositions, hearings, trials, etc. Assisting in trial preparation. Serving as the liaison between the trial team and third parties such as clients, vendors and courtroom personnel. High school graduate or equivalent required. 3 years experience as legal secretary required. Knowledge of California Civil Court procedures, E.C.F federal court filings required. Strong proof reading, and attention to details required. Experienced in MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook required. The candidate should have 3 years of experience. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills. Must also be comfortable working as a team with the rest of the office.
