Personal Injury Pre-Litigation Paralegal/Legal Assistant The candidate will opening files for new clients weekly (calling in claims, sending initial letters, requesting police reports). Managing the medical care for upwards of 150 clients, keeping in constant communication with clients and medical providers. Scheduling and calendaring medical appointments, explaining procedures and related documentation to clients. Helping clients with property damage related issues. Requesting PIP applications for clients, ensuring PIP applications are returned and submitted in a timely manner, requesting updated PIP ledgers and exhaustion letters. Regular communication with insurance adjusters including status updates. Opening and monitoring medicare and medicaid portals.
