Corporate Legal Secretary The candidate to join Business and Corporate Transactions group. Secretarial and legal administrative support for multiple partners and associate attorneys. Keyboard legal documents, correspondence and forms from handwritten drafts, notes or dictation. Apply track changes, formatting and styles; edit, label and redact documents; compare documents using document comparison software and produce redlined versions; proofread final documents. Preparation and coordination of periodic filings with state and federal agencies, including the Secretary of State, the Department of Business Oversight, the Internal Revenue Service, the Franchise Tax Board and the Securities and Exchange Commission. Working directly with attorneys, paralegals and clients on various corporate transactions, including incorporation/formation and qualification of entities and corporate government matters; assisting with deal closings, corporate reorganizations, and dissolutions and other business transactions. Assisting attorneys and paralegals with special projects and other general administrative duties. Should have 3+ years of corporate legal secretary experience within a law firm environment. High School diploma or GED, required. Bachelor Degree, preferred. Strong knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite of products and Adobe Acrobat is required. Experience with a Document Management System such as IManage, Filesite, NetDocs is needed.
