Foreclosure and Real Estate Paralegal, Contract Candidate will work closely with the Senior Lawyer and with a team of lawyers. Will perform a variety of duties to assist lawyers in the Foreclosure & Real Estate practice. Shall have the following skills and responsibilities: Draft foreclosure documents, including complaints, publication notices, and review loan agreements, notes, security deeds and mortgages, releases, collateral assignment documents, subordination agreements, non-disturbance and guarantees, leases, financing statements, affidavits, closing memoranda, closing statements, lien waivers, etc.. Order and analyze title examinations, review exceptions to titles, prepare necessary documents to correct or clear title. Order and analyze surveys, and review legal descriptions. Coordinate foreclosure logistics; prepare foreclosure checklists; oversee execution of electronic filing of foreclosure documents and recordation of appropriate documents; organize complex foreclosure files, bankruptcy, eviction and mediation files. Coordinate pre-foreclosure, foreclosure and post-foreclosure activities and recording documents, wiring funds, obtaining necessary cancellation documents, organizing and indexing files and overseeing preparation of foreclosure final documents binders. Perform legal research pertaining to multi-state foreclosure, real estate law practice, title insurance law, bankruptcy, land-lord tenant laws, and procedures, proper form execution and acknowledgement of foreclosure documents for domestic and out of state properties. Process and track vendor invoices. Maintain positive relationships with firm attorneys, co-counsel, clients and vendors. Keep accurate time records. Observe confidentiality of client matters and sign Confidentiality and Non Disclosure Agreements. Ability to work on multiple matters simultaneously and multi-task. Qualifications: Bachelor s degree and or Paralegal Certificate (within top 25% of class preferred). 5+ previous years of law firm experience in a foreclosure and residential real estate practice with substantial experience in title, appraisal and survey. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Professional. Proficiency in foreclosure, real estate, loan and title software. Positive attitude and strong, concise communication and writing skills. Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete tasks under strict time constraints. Committed team player as well as a motivated self-starter. Able to work overtime as needed. Work Ethics, Integrity, people and communication skills at the highest level. Leadership, management, communication and people skills. Will maintain positive contact with clients, observe confidentiality of client matters, and must be a team-oriented paralegal. Must be able to work independently and efficiently in an environment that is heavily computer-based, perform under strict time constraints, and follow established client and team guidelines for case and matter management.
