Government Affairs Attorney - Litigation Attorney The candidate's duties include: Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs; Draft resolutions and ordinances for city governments; Attend meetings during and after hours as directed; Work closely with elected officials and stakeholders to determine policy outcomes; Prior experience working in a law firm for a minimum of 1-2 years required; Familiarity with municode and local legislative research; Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is required Graduation from law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and experience in representing clients for at least 2 years; Public speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role; Should have experience working with elected officials and GMA. Candidates must currently be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred.
