Litigation Legal Secretary The candidate types general correspondence, memoranda and complex legal documents. Transcribes attorney work product from tape as required. Prepares check requests for processing with appropriate back-up documents. Maintains appointment calendar(s) for attorneys. Maintains files in an efficient matter, following firm protocol and keeping filing up-to-date at all times. Enters time for attorneys into Juris system. Electronic court filings in Federal Court, Philadelphia and surrounding counties. Proofreads documents and checks for appropriate formatting, spelling, grammar. Handles overflow work for other support staff as required. Sorts, opens and distributes incoming mail to assigned parties; electronically files incoming correspondence to case file. Inputs, retrieves and maintains case-related information in firm database (Time Matters). Front desk reception coverage as assigned. Must have 5+ years of defense litigation support experience. Should have professional telephone demeanor.
