Criminal Defense Attorney The candidate will maintain primary responsibility for a full case load within the designated geographical assigned by the firm. Will generate referral business. Put the customer's needs first, including explain and communicating the case with the client whenever necessary. Be open to new ideas and methods that are taught and/or discussed by other attorneys. Document all work done for the client, obtain the best result possible for all client in an efficient manner, and communicating all issues. Participate in all firm trainings by attending said meetings and presenting new ideas or concepts to the group. Work on any cases which may involve a felony or complex legal issues within assigned geographic area. Report any staff or attorney issues (attitude, performance, ethical, etc.) to the team. Participate in the Attorney mentoring program if Associate has been admitted less than two years. Work with the firm in order to obtain case resolution goals within Associate's geographical area. Attends training/CLE's as required related to numerous topics relative to Criminal defense. Work with a Legal assistant to ensure all work on cases is completed in a timely and efficient manner. Be able to work remotely if/when applicable. Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice is required. Should be a graduate of an accredited law school. Must be NYS Bar admitted with 2+ years of experience.
