This is the Atlanta outpost of an international firm. Although this firm is international, it still has a decidedly regional feel to it, and it international only to service certain valued clients. Life is reasonably good in the Atlanta office, where there are attorneys capable of handling every measure of legal problem faced by companies or corporations. Although the litigators are able to become more specialized, corporate associates have a general practice, which ocassional spreads them (and their expertise) a bit thin. Lagging behind in compensation, this firm is dedicated to associate life issues, and has, as a result, a good deal of devoted associates.
Paralegal The candidate will review and abstracting of purchase agreements with attention to critical dates and closing conditions. Review and analysis of title, survey and due diligence, including zoning reports, site plans and similar materials. Drafting title review memorandums and title objection letters. Review and mark up a title commitment. Review closing statements. Organizing and fulfilling conditions necessary to satisfy title requirements. Researching real property tax and ownership information. The candidate must have a 4-year degree from an accredited college or university and a paralegal certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program; however, work experience may be substituted for education. Should be experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal. Must have experience in a law firm setting handling all aspects of commercial real estate sales, acquisitions, and loans. Should possess strong working knowledge of formation and basic governance of entities for use in review and preparation of organizational and authority documents. Should be highly developed organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Should have ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines. Must have familiarity with using computers for organizing and maintaining documents. Should have strong communication skills and the ability to document, summarize and present information to attorneys. Must have ability to work independently and in a team environment, including ability to train and oversee the work of others.
