Legal Secretary Responsibilities: Notarizing documents. Direct client communication - scheduling; document follow up; attorney instructions. Managing multiple attorneys calendars. Electronic filing through TurboCourt and other online portals. Familiarity with Judge Pro Tem process. Open files, prepare new case memos and engagement agreements. Maintain attorney's CLE records; file CLE affidavits with the state bar. Bate labeling and redacting documents for disclosure. Candidate must have 3-5 years of relevant legal assistant experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced professional office environment. Must be organized, reliable, punctual, have a professional demeanor, and be friendly and outgoing. A meticulous attention to detail is a critical skill necessary to this position. Must also be proactive and self-motivated, able to multi-task, and solutions oriented. Strong writing and proofreading skills and a desire to learn, as well as a strict adherence to confidentiality is required. Will need to routinely work collectively with members of our legal team at all levels.
