Paralegal Duties: Prepare paperwork necessary to commence various court proceedings. Prepare Order to Appear actions, Citations and Findings. Merge documents requested by attorneys from Firm s document database. Review and provide analysis of files after court hearings and determine further action to be taken based on the outcome of hearings. Review debtor correspondence and determine further action that may be needed. Review files for critical filing and service deadlines. Conduct telephone calls with various clerks of court, newspapers, title companies, sheriff departments and places of employment. Apply in depth analytical review of accounts as needed. Prepare transcript of judgment filings. Prepare civil judgment requests. Communicates with clients on miscellaneous matters relating to job functions.
Qualifications: Prior law firm experience may apply. Prior office experience is preferred. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a solid work ethic, the ability to work quickly, and must demonstrate sound judgment. Must have the ability to work professionally in a team and individual setting. Must be organized and have the ability to accommodate changing requests and priorities. Experience with Word, WordPerfect and Excel is a must. Must be highly motivated individuals with strong attendance records who thrive in a competitive, professional environment.
