Real Estate Associate Attorney The candidate provide counseling to clients on real estate matters, preferably including commercial leasing, purchase and sale of commercial properties, ground leases, easements and license agreements, restrictive covenants, and construction agreements, including AIA forms and lien issues. Assist clients in securing development entitlements for real property, including subdivision approval, zoning and planned unit developments, development agreements, site plans and environmental permits and appear before governmental entities in connection with the application for such entitlements. Assist the firms corporate attorneys in real estate matters arising out of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. Assist clients in the creating and transacting with special districts, such as municipal utility districts, as well as tax increment financing district and other public-private partnerships. Assist clients with and negotiate financing secured by real property, whether representing the owner/developer or the lender. Prepare and present CLE presentations on real estate matters. Work closely with other attorneys and team members on real estate matters. Support the firms public relations, community, and media relationships and communications. Participate in firm-sponsored meetings and events. Be active in community and professional associations and activities. The candidate should have Bachelors degree and J.D. Texas law license is required. Must have 2-4 years of real estate legal experience, preferably including commercial leasing, purchase and sale of commercial properties, ground leases, easements and license agreements, development agreements, real estate finance, restrictive covenants, and construction agreements, including AIA forms and lien issues. Should have demonstrated business development experience and success. Must have excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Should have strong research, writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Must have proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, SalesForce or other customer relationship management software, iManage or other document management system, and Elite or other enterprise timekeeping system Judicial clerkship preferred.
