Casualty Litigation Paralegal The candidate should have Bachelor s Degree and/or a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program. Must have 2-5 years of prior casualty/personal injury defense litigation experience. Experience performing the following tasks: Assisting trial counsel in all areas of client representation including drafting correspondence and pleadings; preparing discovery and discovery response; preparing for depositions, mediation, arbitration, trial; commercial truck accident investigation; and document management. Knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures; proficiency in paper and e-filing (state and federal); knowledge of court websites and research skills; knowledge and experience on requesting medical records and preparing medical record summaries; possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication (oral and written) skills and be able to work in a team environment that includes working with attorneys, paralegals, and other staff members to accomplish all tasks required by clients.
