The San Francisco office of this mid-size firm is engaged primarily in litigation and general business, although the firm boasts a solid regulatory and administrative law practice and a respectable labor/employment practice. The firm has a strong pro bono commitment; associates receive full billable hour credit for approved pro bono work and, overall, pro bono comprises 3-5% of all work. The billable hour target is 1850 and salaries are approximately 20% below market.
Real Estate Attorney, Coop & Condominium Team The candidate will represent developers across the market spectrum, from luxury towers to single-family homes and help boards achieve their goals and maintain their most valuable asset. Must have 3 years of law firm experience to assist with various transactional and regulatory cooperative and condominium matters. Must have experience working on both market-rate and affordable cooperative and condominium projects, as well as general real estate transactions. Should be familiar with negotiating and preparing deal documents for contracts and closings including to purchase agreements, financing documentation, title commitments, and corporate organizational documents. Also have a working knowledge of the Martin Act, the Private Housing Finance Law related to housing development fund corporations, and other New York governing regulations regarding condominium and cooperative sales and offering plan submissions.
