IP Litigation and Trial Paralegal The canddiate will assist and support a project team of attorneys in the office and other offices as needed. Responsibilities include: trial support, such as pre-trial and post-trial logistics, court filings, war room and courtroom setup; conducting statutory, regulatory, or factual research with respect to client matters; participating in due diligence, privilege, and other reviews of client records and files; initiating pleadings, fact and expert discovery, and motion practice; assisting with organization of client materials and attorney work product, including use of databases, imaging systems, and other computer-based technology; maintaining pleadings files and other case or project records; circulating materials to project team, as needed; maintaining chronological records of project activity; arranging filings, mailings, and service list deliveries with appropriate courts, government agencies, and other parties; under supervision of a lawyer drafting, editing, cite-checking, conforming, and otherwise assisting in the preparation of legal documents; preparing binders of case materials; obtaining services from outside contractors including court reporters, research services, exhibit preparation services, filing services and printers; processing billing and disbursement paperwork in connection with contractor services; and acting as liaison for the project team with support staff departments and other offices of the firm. Should have a Bachelor's degree with Paralegal certificate or equivalent. Must have 3+ years of related work experience. Prior trial experience is required. Familiarity with federal courts and US PTO, e-filings and e-discovery procedures is needed.
