This is the Atlanta outpost of an international firm. Although this firm is international, it still has a decidedly regional feel to it, and it international only to service certain valued clients. Life is reasonably good in the Atlanta office, where there are attorneys capable of handling every measure of legal problem faced by companies or corporations. Although the litigators are able to become more specialized, corporate associates have a general practice, which ocassional spreads them (and their expertise) a bit thin. Lagging behind in compensation, this firm is dedicated to associate life issues, and has, as a result, a good deal of devoted associates.
Commercial Real Estate Paralegal The candidate will be working directly with our Commercial Real Estate team's attorneys and paralegals, you ll assist with daily needs including: reviewing and abstracting of purchase agreements with attention to critical dates and closing conditions; reviewing and analysis of title, survey and due diligence, including zoning reports, site plans and similar materials; drafting title review memorandums and title objection letters; reviewing and mark up of title commitments; reviewing closing statements; organizing and fulfilling conditions necessary to satisfy title requirements; and researching real property tax and ownership information. Should have strong working knowledge of formation and basic governance of entities will aid in review and preparation of organizational and authority documents. Should have strong communication skills are evident in your ability to document, summarize and present information to attorneys. Should have Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and a paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program is preferred; however, work experience may be substituted for education. Title, survey review, and lending side experience is a plus.
