Legal Secretary The candidate will provide support to our legal team to facilitate efficiency and accuracy; ensuring files, documents, exhibit preparations, calendar of events are accurate, coordinated and prepared to meet appropriate deadlines. Effective management and support of legal team for client related matters. This should include superior organizational and task orientated follow-up to ensure full support of the attorneys in anticipation of upcoming legal matters. Maintain attorney calendars through Microsoft Outlook and CompuLaw by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, depositions, mediations, and court reporters when necessary. Provide legal support to several attorneys and coordinate heavy case loads. Record and monitor appearance dates, pleadings and filing requirements. Interface with courts, clients, case managers and vendors. Create and manage shell settlement agreements and attachments. Manage and open requests for matters. Create exhibit lists and master sets of exhibits. California State and Federal court filings (AZ experience a plus). Calendar deadlines in accordance with applicable Rules of Court and California statutes. Draft legal documents, emails, letter correspondence, judicial council forms, pleadings, discovery, motions, etc. Prepare and file arbitration demands with various ADR associations (ADR Services, Inc., AAA, JAMS, AHLA). Manage all correspondence and mail. Prepare documents and binders for attorneys for use at meetings, hearings, depositions, and mediations. Experience with service of legal documents required. 3+ years of Litigation Secretary experience required. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat Pro, CompuLaw, HotDocs required. Experience in Healthcare preferred.
