Real Estate Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for providing support to the attorneys in the Real Estate Section. Coordinate of purchase and sale transactions (commercial, office and retail) and development transactions. Review and comment on title and survey work. Negotiate title insurance coverage and surveys, and survey certifications. Prepare and review conveyance and other closing and post-closing documents. Coordinate recording of documents in connection with closings. Prepare and review drafts of leases. Assume additional responsibilities as requested. The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree. 3 to 5 years of transactional experience, preferably in a law firm environment is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary. Strong organizational and administrative skills are must. Excellent attention to detail and ability to execute through to completion is necessary. Creative problem solving skills, reasoning ability, and logical thought process is essential. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize competing demands, and meet various deadlines is must. Demonstrated ability to professionally interact and collaborate with colleagues at all levels is critical. Ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary. Outstanding sense of customer service is essential. Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion is required. Must be self-motivated to produce quality work. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint is necessary. Ability to quickly get up to speed and master new applications and software is critical.
