Legal Secretary The candidate will type or focus on word processing correspondence, memos, and reports. Setting up and maintaining files and record systems. Operating photocopier, facsimile, and other office equipment. Arranging travel. Maintaining records and files. Preparing documents using word processor and spreadsheet software. Formatting, proofing, editing for errors. Receiving incoming telephone calls. Placing outgoing telephone calls. Providing information and assistance to clients. Answering inquiries from the general public. Scheduling meetings and appointments. Receiving or sending out messenger/courier items. Using scales and postage meters to weigh and affix postage. Ensuring compliance with postal regulations. Requesting new or maintaining existing equipment and supplies. Making coffee and serving beverages and food to clients and guests. Cleaning office furniture and breakroom fixtures and appliances to maintain the professional appearance of the office. Any other duties assigned by a shareholder of the firm. Preferably should have 1 year of relevant and secretarial experience. High school or equivalent (Preferred).
