Personal Injury Defense Paralegal The candidate will do written work product, with the ability to concisely explain what matters most and why -- for audiences that will include clients, courts, and litigant counsel. Investigator interaction: including evaluation of claim needs in line with goals, and communication and supervision of investigation process. Interact with client contacts for information, document, and witness information gathering, evaluation, and assessment as bears on investigation and discovery process and resolution strategies. Written discovery preparation and compliance supervision -- internal and external. Witness interaction for critical information gathering, and deposition process. Medical record interpretation, evaluation, and summarization of contents as matters of critical liability, damages, and discovery issues. Discovery and substantive motion support, such as drafting and preparing, as commensurate with the skillset. Must have a Bachelor's degree. A paralegal certificate is preferred. Must have 2+ years of New York State litigation experience, personal injury claims required. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Excellent organizational skills are needed. Legal Research (Lexis, Westlaw) proficiency is preferred. Medical Record interpretation and summaries are preferred.
