Junior Associate Attorney The candidate will assist in a practice specializing in insurance and professional liability defense and manage a heavy litigation caseload. Will independently work with senior attorney to manage caseload involving medical malpractice claims. Conduct legal research, handle discovery and analyze medical records. Regularly handle court appearances, depositions and meetings. Communicate with clients and provide status reports. The candidate should have a J.D. degree from an ABA school. Must have 1-3 years of civil defense litigation experience (those awaiting Bar results considered with top credentials). Should have California Law license or be a recent graduate waiting for Bar results. Some experience with medical malpractice preferred.
