Paralegal The candidate will be joining a litigation team of an established family law firm. Responsibilities includes, monitoring calendars and assisting with meeting deadlines. Draft documents for attorney review. Input information into file database and case management software. Confirm case status with attorney. Schedule depositions, prepare and forward summonses and subpoenas, prepare and file discovery requests and responses. Generate status reports. Assist with client communication. Prepare case summaries and materials for mediation conferences and hearings. Monitor and obtain discovery responses, organize materials for team case review. Enhance trial proceedings by organizing evidence, preparing exhibits, scheduling witnesses, ensuring that witnesses are ready, taking courtroom notes. Participate in educational opportunities and strive to continually improve. Paralegal or experienced litigation legal assistant is needed. Have familiarity with Michigan Court Rules, experience with excel, Practice Master, true-filing or e-filing, Word, dropbox, outlook is essential. Be well versed in case management and comfortable with a vibrant practice.
