Legal Administrative Assistant The candidate will entail supporting 3 - 4 busy Attorneys in the Firm s Trusts and Estates and Tax practice groups. Performs typing, transcription, stenographic, and file maintenance duties. Prepares documents in final format, including assisting with preparing a letter, chart or deed. Conducts conflict checks for prospective matters, prepares client engagement agreements and conflict waivers. Creates and edits drafts of documents using MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint. Answers incoming telephone calls in a timely and professional manner and communicates an accurate message on behalf of the caller. Sends/receives/manages e-mails and related attachments using Outlook. Accurately enters attorney time on a timely basis. Arranges meetings and schedules appointments; opens, sorts and distributes mail. An Undergraduate degree required. 2 years of legal secretarial experience. Proficiency in trusts and estates and tax terminology and procedures is preferred. Would have experience performing a variety of administrative and secretarial duties, including to the areas of probate, tax and trust administration.
