Litigation and Trial Practice Paralegal The candidate will work closely with litigation and trial practice partners and associates. Review and analyze matters for the purpose of preparing status reports to attorneys and clients. Establish, organize, and maintain pleadings, attorney trial notebooks, expert witness notebooks, and document indices and lists. Obtain written statements from witnesses. Review and outline depositions and summarization of documents. Assist with trials. Schedule witnesses and track exhibits. Perform legal research tasks using all available resources, including usage of legal libraries and computer data systems. Proofread and mark legal documents. The candidate should have a four-year college degree. Must have 10+ years of heavy litigation experience, including pretrial and trial experience. Experience managing, supervising and training paralegal teams and case assistants is required. Cite checking, Bluebook, and legal research utilizing Westlaw, Lexis/Nexis, and Pacer experience is required. Prior legal experience and working knowledge of document management software systems. Prior experience with large case management and e-discovery. Knowledge of State and Federal court filing procedures and court rules is essential. Proficient with litigation support and database management software and e-discovery.
