Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal The candidate will manage deadlines and attorney calendar. Track and organize relevant records related to a client's case in firm case management system Needles. Investigate case facts using research tools: Rejis, Casenet, TLO, Westlaw, Google, Social Media. File suit, efiling in proper jurisdiction and perfecting service. Schedule party and expert depositions. Draft, file and respond to discovery. Trial and mediation preparation. Provide superior client service by maintaining contact with our clients on a regular basis by telephone, text, and email. Contact with lien holders for updates and negotiations as related to Medicare, Medicaid, and private health insurance. Assist in the preparation of settlement disbursement summaries. The candidate should have an Associates or Bachelor's Degree. 3-5 years of relevant work experience required. Experience working in a fast-paced plaintiff firm focused on civil litigation matters and would be ready to hit the ground running. Knowledge of court rules, forms and procedures. Be adaptable and willing to branch out to take on new tasks as they arise. Ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision. Take initiative and ownership of the files and be open to constructive criticism. Must be reliable, organized and an incredible team player.
