International Litigation and Arbitration Paralegal Responsibilities: Maintain and manage case files (evidence, court and arbitration filings, etc.). Conduct factual and basic legal research. Prepare and submit filings to courts and dispute resolution institutions. Work closely with attorneys on case teams to develop and litigate or arbitrate cases. Review documents for importance and relevance to case. Review translations for accuracy. Occasional research in the field. Provide support during hearings and meetings (locally and abroad). Qualifications: Bachelor degree. Oral and written Spanish and English language fluency (other languages are also an asset). Strong writing and research skills. Strong computer and Internet skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Willingness to work overtime, including weekends. Desirable Qualifications: Experience in research on the ground in Latin America and/or other foreign countries. Prior paralegal experience. Familiarity with international politics (especially Latin American politics) and international legal issues. Knowledge of desktop publishing and other litigation database software.
