The San Francisco office of this mid-size firm is engaged primarily in litigation and general business, although the firm boasts a solid regulatory and administrative law practice and a respectable labor/employment practice. The firm has a strong pro bono commitment; associates receive full billable hour credit for approved pro bono work and, overall, pro bono comprises 3-5% of all work. The billable hour target is 1850 and salaries are approximately 20% below market.
Trust & Estates Attorney The candidate will partner with individuals, families and business owners to craft their estate plans and achieve their wealth management goals. Will develops and implements practical planning solutions geared to protect our clients, minimize taxes and preserve businesses and wealth through multiple generations. The candidate must have 2+ years' experience in the field of estate and trust administration and probate law, including drafting all varieties of petitions for probate and the settlement of accounts, attending to asset valuation and collection, preparing federal and state estate tax returns and a working knowledge of fiduciary income tax. Must be motivated self-starters with stellar academic credentials, superb judgment and communication skills, a commitment to excellence and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
