Legal Secretary Candidate will provide administrative support very busy partners and associates as assigned. Will serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external clients and will serve as a liaison to the attorneys in the Litigation practice section. Will include: managing an extremely active calendar of appointments; completing expense reports (conversion experience required); composing and preparing correspondence; arranging for detailed travel plans, itineraries and agendas; compiling documents for travel-related meetings; plans and coordinate partners' schedule. Provides "gatekeeper" and "gateway" support to the partners. Works closely and effectively with the attorneys to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities. Additional responsibilities will include heavy interaction with clients, diary entry, filing, document production, billing, running reports in FAIRS, excellent proofreading skills are essential. Work effectively to manage workload from multiple sources and competing deadlines. Advanced computer skills are necessary and a proficiency in MS Office Suite is a must. Qualifications: BA/BS degree preferred. Will possess litigation experience with a full understanding of all related documents. Must be creative and enjoy working within a collegial and collaborative environment. Will exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task successfully. Will work independently, complete projects as assigned, must be able to work under pressure to handle a variety of tasks and confidential matters with discretion. Will be team player, demonstrates initiative and will be a positive self starter.
