Family Law or Immigration Paralegal The candidate will assist in all aspects of immigration and family law practice. In the immigration field, the candidate will assist clients in family-based, employment-based and humanitarian immigration cases. In the family law field, the candidate will represent clients in divorce, separate support, child support, and prenuptial agreements. Responsibilities will include drafting immigration forms, compiling submissions to USCIS as well as immigration and family courts, translating foreign-language documents (where knowledge allows), obtaining records from courts and other government offices, assisting clients in drafting declarations reflecting their experiences, and general administrative tasks.
The candidate must have a bachelor's degree and strong writing and analytical skills. Great attention to detail is required. Experience as a paralegal with immigration law or family law is required. Foreign language skills (Portuguese or Spanish) are a plus.
