SF Energy and Natural Resources Paralegal The candidate will provide transactional support to associates and partners in the Energy and Natural Resources group on all aspects of negotiating and documenting high dollar value contracts related to the development, ownership, operation and disposition of commercial scale energy projects. Will provide legal/general support to the firm's attorneys and their clients. Observes confidentiality of client and firm matters. College degree and a paralegal certification is required. Must have 3-8 years of legal transactional experience. Experience in reviewing and analyzing diligence documents for acquisition transactions is essential. Significant experience with commercial tranasactional closings and the ability to manage cases from inception to closing, including preparing and maintaining closing checklists, preparing closing documents, preparing signature packages, and drafting closing instructions is essential. Experience with organizational documents, including entity formation, procuring of good standing certificates and similar certifications and preparation of authorizing resolutions is essential. Familarity with Energy related transactions is a plus; Interest in and ability to learn about renewable energy project development is essential. Must have good communication skills; and Excellent writing and proofreading skills.Must be familiar with and observe the firm's established policies and guidelines. Must maintain positive contact with attorneys (both the firm's and outside counsel), support staff, clients and vendors.
