Legal Secretary Duties: Answer telephone calls and respond to email requests. Prepare, format and proofread documents and correspondence. Prepare and coordinate filings and discovery submissions. Coordinate attorney schedules and status work assignments. Coordinate with opposing counsel for scheduling of depositions, hearings, etc.. Manage case calendaring and assist in meeting deadlines. Receive, review and route in-bound mail. Prepare and deliver out-bound mail. Maintain electronic and physical filing system. Maintain client data base. Assist in the preparation of monthly billing statements. General administrative tasks. Qualifications: Strong computer skills, with advanced knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with case, client and/or law firm management software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Relevant work experience. Positive attitude, energetic spirit, common sense and practical problem-solving ability.
