IP Assistant / IP Paralegal Duties: Assist with the drafting and filing of various legal documents related to patent prosecution including IDS - information disclosure statements. Prepare and forward client reporting letters for various official correspondence. Maintain knowledge of specific client requirements and needs for filing and reporting of documents. Maintain file integrity and assist in monitoring compliance with due dates. Provide follow-up service regarding due dates to clients by telephone, e-mail or letters. Prioritize workload to meet filing deadlines and due dates. Interact with staff and legal personnel on a daily basis. Maintain filing docket as necessary for work assignments. Miscellaneous other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager. Complete assigned work in a careful, expeditious and professional manner. Maintain a high quality work product.
Requirements: Bachelor A?A s degree required. Previous law firm, IP, professional services environment, and/or paralegal experience is preferred. Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and be able to manage multiple tasks on a daily basis, including meeting strict deadlines. Must be detail-oriented, have strong organizational, written and oral communication skills and be a team player. It is critical that the ideal candidate has solid proofing skills and understands the need for producing error-free work results. Experience with MS Word and Excel required. Ability to schedule work to meet deadlines and perform job responsibilities under pressure efficiently, productively and in a professional manner.
