Litigation Legal Secretary Duties: Provide administrative and secretarial support for a busy litigation group. Consistent on-site attendance. Formatting pre-trial documents including motions, briefs, subpoenas and witness lists. Generate table of authorities and table of contents for court filings. File documents with courts and administrative bodies, including electronic filing where applicable. Gathering and organizing exhibits. Maintaining electronic and physical case files. Enter attorney time. Answer telephones and deliver accurate and timely messages. Qualifications: High school or equivalent. 3 years Legal Secretary experience. 2 years litigation experience. Ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel. Solid organizational skills and multi-tasking skills. Excellent written and verbal skills. Strong typing skills. Knowledge of office procedures and legal terminology. Knowledge of local, state and federal litigation documentation and filing procedures. Strong litigation calendaring skills, including maintaining shared office calendars and individual attorney calendars as well as proactively providing reminders to legal team of upcoming deadlines.
