Associate Attorney Duties: Managing own case load. Will include a wide variety of tasks associated with litigating debt collection matters. While litigation is the key role, independently engage in risk analysis and develop strategies that adhere to state and federal rules and regulations and compliance standards. Full litigation responsibilities including review of correspondence, review of files to determine whether they are suit appropriate, review of answers, preparation of discovery and dispositive motions, and all aspects of preparing for and conducting trial and appearing for hearings. Will be responsible for managing high-volume docket of civil litigation cases in the area of debt-collection through all phases of litigation from commencement through post-judgment actions. Qualifications: A law degree. Bar admission in Texas. 1-3 years of experience as a general litigation Attorney. Preferred: Experience in creditor s rights litigation. Experience in appellate court and/or Federal Court. Knowledgeable in post judgment remedies including attachment and garnishment. Familiar with state and federal consumer laws and keep abreast of any changes in state or local rules.
