Legal Secretary / Administrative Assistant The candidate will provide administrative support to partners of premier communications law firm by scheduling meetings, travel, and events, managing daily schedule, maintaining administrative files, assisting with legal pleadings and presentations, and monitoring phone messages and e-mail correspondence. Perform full range of responsibilities to assist in firm operations, marketing, nonprofit, and educational activities. Establish, develop, maintain and update filing system for partners and other attorneys as assigned. Time entry. Answer phones, take messages or field/answer all routine and non-routine questions. Work independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects and undertake occasional research projects. Prepare check requests and travel reimbursements. Provide back-up to the Receptionist as necessary, including 15 minute breaks and lunch hour. Work in cooperation with receptionist and other administrative assistants to cover phones. Should have verbal and written communications skills and is computer literate, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Law office experience required, preferably in a private law firm.
