Litigation Paralegal Functions: Communicating and corresponding with clients, providers and others in the legal community; Maintaining client files; Calculate and manage deadlines; Review, analyze and summarize case files; Review, draft and file legal documents such as discovery responses, motions and other pleadings for attorneys; Assisting attorneys with preparation of cases for trial; Attending trial with attorneys and assisting throughout trial. Other duties as assigned. Understand legal terminology and procedures. A High School Diploma and/or GED Required. Completion of an Accredited Paralegal program and/or certificate preferred. Associate's Degree or comparable work experience is needed. Should have experience with any of the following law practices: Personal Injury/Medical Malpractice, Social Security, Workers' Compensation, Bankruptcy. 2 years as a litigation paralegal (experience with Personal Injury/Medical Malpractice, Social Security, Workers' Compensation, Bankruptcy) is required. Experience with Needles Case Management software is a plus. Should have ability to proficiently prioritize a heavy work load. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Should have critical thinking skills with great attention to detail and accuracy. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook is required. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
