Associate Attorney-Energy Regulatory The candidate must have 2-4 years of regulatory, litigation, transactional or comparable experience in the electric utility and/or natural gas industries, with preference for candidates with experience with municipal utilities, rural utility cooperatives, and/or state utility commissions. Must be a motivated self-starter with strong academic credentials, as well as have excellent research, writing and oral communication skills. Must be a creative thinker that is eager to dive-in, learn and tackle new complex matters/issues. Should have experience, understanding or involvement in one or more of the following: Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), rate-making and tariff issues, energy markets, regional transmission organizations, NERC compliance, tribal representation, and state utility commissions. Should have significant experience in energy/utility law that also have experience in other sectors, such as environmental and communication law, are encouraged to apply.
