Associate Attorney The candidate must be licensed to practice law in Tennessee. Additional license in Mississippi preferred but not required. Will work on criminal cases. At least 1 year of related experience is required. Criminal law experience, especially in Shelby County, is preferred but not required. Will be required to make daily court appearances, regular jail visits, occasional early morning appearances and evening appearances in outlying courts. Some travel outside of Shelby County will be required, but rarely, if ever, will overnight travel be required. Will assist in the representation of major felony cases as well as misdemeanor, traffic and DUI Defense. Motion writing and legal research will be required on occasion. Will be required to accept court appointed cases. Experience with family law or personal injury cases is preferred. Must get along well with others.
