Legal Secretary/Legal Administrative Assistant Duties: Provide administrative support to Partners, Paralegals and Other Legal Professionals. Learn and perform various IP administrative processes and complete assigned responsibilities within deadlines, including saving and finding documents in various document management systems. Review forms and correspondence from the US patent office and ensure documents are handled per department processes. Coordinate routine correspondence with law firms, including foreign associates. Take direction and instruction from Partners, Paralegal and Other Legal Professional to perform other specific tasks. Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred. 2 years of administrative experience (preferably in a legal capacity as well as understanding of IP administration and familiarity with the USPTO preferred). Microsoft Word, Excel (advanced skills), PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability and desire to learn new systems. Excellent organization skills. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skill. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Strong problem solving and decision-making skills. Strong attention to detail. Exercise sound judgment. Ability to work well under pressure. Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality. Will demonstrate excellent organizational and computer skills, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and a strong customer service and teamwork approach. Ability to work independently with limited direction. Able to identify available resources to solve problems is necessary. A very high level of attention to detail, experience with electronic filing and file management systems is required. Microsoft and related software experience required.
