Paralegal - Bankruptcy The candidate will attend to finalizing and filing pleadings in chapter 11 cases in the Bankruptcy Court and bankruptcy courts in other districts, and ensuring those documents comply with local bankruptcy rules and customs; prepare and organize hearing binders, exhibits, and proposed orders; draft fee applications, certifications of counsel, certificates of service, notices, pro hac vice motions, and hearing agendas; communicate with the court regarding various matters; attend to docketing and management of case calendars; prepare drafts of other legal documents and correspondence for attorney review; and communicate with attorneys, clients, and other bankruptcy professionals on various bankruptcy matters. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate. Three to five(3-5) years of law firm experience in chapter 11 bankruptcy work required. Must have knowledge of Delaware / Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure and associated filing requirements to assist with the formatting and filing of electronic and paper court submissions. BlueBook/cite-checking experience preferred. Must be detail oriented, have superior communication, organizational, computer and client service skills and able to multi-task. Must have advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet searching as well as FileSite or another document management system. Must also work well under pressure. The ability to work beyond standard work hours is required to perform the essential functions of this position. Must be highly organized.
